Hi I'm Hannah Groom Decker

I'm an Illustration Major, a Harry Potter Nerd, a Wife, A Cat Lady & I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 21 years old, I have two orange tabby cats "Ivan & Leo", I am the wife to Ryan Decker, and we are both college students pursuing our dreams. I am an art and visual communications major with an emphasis in illustration. I love to draw and paint, I have a humble blog to showcase my work "hannahdeckerillustration.blogspot.com". I love to be outside in the elements. I also enjoy sports of any kind. I am an imperfect person striving to be better.

Why I am a Mormon

Throughout my life I have been subject to many physical trials, I have suffered from depression, anxiety, mononucleosis, pneumonia, human growth hormone deficiency, a broken foot, a torn ankle capsule, and various others but I have never let any of them stop me from living my life because I know that my Heavenly Father and Savior have been with my every step of the way. I've chosen to be a member of this church because I know that no other path in life will bring you more comfort and happiness. I have had many numerous experiences in my life that testify to me repeatedly that it is true. My relationship with Jesus Christ, our Savior, is well explained through the scripture John 14:18, "I will not leave you comfortless I will come unto you." I have never been left comfortless. My Savior and Heavenly Father are always there for me, often when I don't realize they are there, waiting for me to open the door and let them into my life. I have a testimony of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, it is simple as is my faith. I know that my Savior Jesus Christ lives and I know that he loves me as well all of his children. I am a Mormon because this gospel is true, and if that is so, then what else matters?

How I live my faith

I live my faith day by day, Each day brings new opportunities and well as trials. I do my best to "be brilliant in the basics" by this I mean doing my best in the little things such as praying and reading my scriptures daily so that I may be worthy to receive the companionship of the spirit in my day. I am the Relief Society President in my Single Adult Ward. With this calling I am a leader over the women in my ward. I love these women very much, as every day goes by I become more aware of how valuable these precious girls are. At times, specific women and their trials and hardships are brought to my attention. I do not judge these girls, but try to see them through Heavenly Father's eyes and use that knowledge to help them as Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ would. I try my hardest to bring these girls closer to Christ and try to provide such an environment once a week at church. In my daily life I strive to "Live [my] life so that those who don't know Him, but know [me], will want to know Him because they know [me]." I am not perfect, nor is any member of the LDS religion perfect, but we have the opportunity through our religion to strive to be perfect and eventually we hope to live with him again someday.
