Hi I'm Michael

And I am a Mormon!

About Me

I am currently a Full-Time Missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Montana Billings mission. I love to see how the Principles of the Gospel relate to everyday events and sharing what I know with other people. My favorite moments of the day are when people will take the time to hear what I have to say and will share what they feel about the Truths that they have come to love, especially their love for the Savior. I am the oldest of four in my family. I spent most of my life so far in Southern California growing up in Tustin and in Irvine. I participated on the Woodbridge Track and Field team for three years running in the Hurdles, both the 110 meters and the 300 meter races. I love to learn about how things work, specifically how the human body operates. It is awesome! I also had the awesome opportunity to participate in scouting. I especially love the elective badges and learning about the amazing things to do outside.I have a bad record for being a procrastinator. I received my Eagle Scout the night before I turned 18! But I got it. I pushed through to the end! I have learned so much on my mission and I have learned so much about different people and how God's children live their lives. There are many different living circumstances in Montana but I love seeing how the Lord has prepared every one of us to hear the Gospel in our own time. It is all about people. This whole life is about people. Everything else is only second.

Why I am a Mormon

A true Mormon believes "in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, [they] may say that [they] follow the admonition of Paul—[they] believe all things, [they] hope all things, [they] have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, [they] seek after these things." They "believe all that God has revealed, all that He does now reveal, and...believe that He will yet reveal many great and important things pertaining to the Kingdom of God." They "claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of [their] own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may." They "believe that a man must be called of God, by prophecy, and by the laying on of hands by those who are in authority, to preach the Gospel and administer in the ordinances thereof." and they also "believe in the same organization that existed in the Primitive Church, namely, apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers, evangelists, and so forth." Ultimately, they "believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost." and that "through the Atonement of Christ, all mankind may be saved, by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel." Because of these, I am a Mormon, always have been a Mormon, and will always be a Mormon. (See Articles of Faith)

How I live my faith

I live my Faith by remembering the Savior, trying to keep His commandments, and helping others as opportunities come. I am coming to realize how little the world actually knows about who Christ is and what He actually taught. I am now trying more to live as the Savior would want me to so that others will see a life centered around Faith in Jesus Christ and desire to have that same Light in their own life.
