Hi I'm Wes

I was raised in southern California. Now living in northern Colorado with my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a husband and father of five children. I like spending time with my family. I like music, movies, sports, and various outdoor activities. I'm a mortgage banking professional.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that God lives and that He sent His son Jesus Christ to redeem us from our sins. I know He loves us and through faith in Christ and obeying His commandments individuals and families can find true peace and happiness in this life and the life to come. I also believe The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints to be the true church of Christ on Earth where we can find all the truths that God has thus far revealed in order for His children to return to live with Him and obtain eternal life.

How I live my faith

I currently serve in my local congregation as the Athletic Coach for boys ages 14-18 and teaching Sunday School to children ages 4-11. I also serve as a "Home Teacher" where I visit and watch over assigned families. I have had many other "callings" to serve and my favorite is working with the youth. Service in the community is also important. And whether at home or work or anywhere else, I strive to be Christ-like in all I do.

What do Mormons believe about Jesus Christ? Do Mormons believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God?

I believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that He came to Earth to suffer and take upon Himself our sins and to die for us. He loves us and wants us to look to Him for salvation. I know He lives and wants us to return to live with Him and our Father in Heaven in His Kingdom. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe happens to us after we die? What do Mormons believe about life after death?

This life is just a small part of the plan that God has for us. When we die our spirits live on, they are eternal. There IS life after death and when the Savior comes again the righteous spirits will be reunited with their bodies (resurrection) never to be separated again. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe about the nature of God?

God is all knowing, all powerful. He is also a loving Father in Heaven who has prepared a plan (Plan of Happiness) so that His children can return to live with Him one day. He has a body of flesh and bone and we are created in His image, just as the Savior demonstrated to His apostles shortly after His resurrection. He is not just a spirit, but a spiritual being, eternal and glorified, and wants us to achieve the same. Show more Show less
