Hi I'm Ginger

I'm a wife, I'm a mom, and I'm Mormon.

About Me

I have a wonderful husband and two amazing kids. I am blessed to stay home with my kids, though I worked as a banker for several years. I enjoy outdoor activities and doing crafts. I am a chocoholic and I love to go camping, spend time with family and friends, and watch Will Ferrell movies.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Church by loving, faithful parents. I was taught good morals and values from an early age, and had faith the Gospel was true. As a young adult, however, I took the Gospel for granted and allowed my faith to shrink. For a few years I made choices that were contrary to the things I had been taught. I still believed the Church was true, but I chose not to follow the teachings. It was not until I had been married five years and we were expecting our first child that I decided to change my life. I knew the Gospel was true and I knew I wanted my little family to be sealed for eternity. With renewed motivation and faith, I made big changes in my life. Each change brought more happiness as I drew closer to my Savior, Jesus Christ. Today I treasure the Gospel and the Atonement of Jesus Christ. The Gospel brings me peace, clarity, purpose, and direction. I know Jesus Christ atoned for my sins, and that He lives today. I know that if I do all I can to follow Him I can have the opportunity to live with Him and Heavenly Father again some day.

How I live my faith

Service before self is key. Our Savior, Jesus Christ, led a perfect life of service. Though I am far from perfect, I try to follow Christ's example by voluntarily serving others. I have taught Sunday School and been the Secretary in our women's group at church. I have also been a Visiting Teacher, which allowed me the opportunity each month to visit other women from church in their homes. During these visits I would visit and chat, as well as assess the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the women and their families. I have found that the more I focus on others instead of myself, the happier my life is.

What is the Relief Society?

Relief Society is a fantastic organization! Relief Society does just that, provide relief. Raising kids in this demanding, challenging world is tough. I have found strength and sisterhood from so many women in Relief Society that face the same challenges and struggles that I do. Relief Society has also helped me strengthen my faith in Jesus Christ as well as deepen my testimony of service. Show more Show less
