Hi I'm Chris

I'm a software engineer for over 20 years. I was raised in the Midwestern United States and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a wonderful wife and two daughters. I love to spend time with them on the farm. I don't have a college degree, but taught myself all about computers and have been writing software for over 21 years.

Why I am a Mormon

I met my wife in California when I was 26 years old. She said she was a Morman, but I wondered why she didn't wear one of those hair bonnets and colorless clothing. She laughed and explained that she was not Amish. We knew each other for about 3 months and I knew I was in love. After asking her to marry me she said yes but she wanted me to learn about her beliefs. I agreed but made it clear that I was not going to join her church. After taking the missionary lessons to learn the details about her faith, I asked the big questions; things like "what happens after we die", and "what is heaven like". The answers surprised me, and rang so true that I wanted to know more of this doctrine. I decided to be baptized immediately. I am a Mormon because I know that the things this faith has taught me are absolutely true. These truths give me great comfort and happiness in my life.

How I live my faith

I believe this world was meant to be a paradise, or Zion society. If we all did what we could to help others, it would be. I consecrate my time by offering free computer service to my brothers and sisters in the church and others in my community.
