Hi I'm Brianna

I'm a Fashion blogger and event planner, who loves to read books in trees. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I spent the last few years styling clothing, writing blogs and co-ordinating fashion events for a small fashion boutique in Canada. I love every aspect of it. At the same time I'm also the type of person that loves watching History movies with my dad and reading Jane Austen books over and over. I speak French fluently and am currently learning Spanish and Samoan, which I'm loving! I just graduated from University with a degree in Humanities and History. In case you're wondering what you do with that degree, the answer is I still have no idea!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in an area where the church is still not very big. I have a part-member family, where my father is Catholic and my mother is a member. I was always the only member of the church in my school. Honestly, instead of thinking any of these things are bad, I am actually so grateful for them. When I was about 11, a missionary taught my Sunday School class at church on the Book of Mormon. He asked if I had read it all yet and I hadn't. He challenged me to read it so that I could know for myself if the things it teaches are true. It took me a year but I accepted his challenge. Since that time I have come to love the Book of Mormon, it makes me feel better when I read it, it makes me feel closer to God. It has taught me who Jesus Christ is and I've found I'm happier when I apply His teachings in my life. I won't say that growing up without many members my age or without much family support was easy, but it was possible because of my faith and testimony of the Book of Mormon. That belief has continued to grow as I have come to know and learn more. I know that God loves each of us so much and as I pray, read my scriptures and go to church, I can feel His love more strongly in my life. I am happier when I keep the commandments and do what He has asked of me. I'm a Mormon because I know that the Church of Jesus Christ has been restored onto the earth and because of the happiness that it brings me!

How I live my faith

I am currently a missionary for the Church. Prior to this I was in charge of co-ordinating meetings and planning activities for the women of the Church in my area. Anything from baking to sports, to faith building conferences and talent shows. We always have a lot of fun together and I love the feeling of family I have even when I was living far away from my own family in University.
