Hi I'm Brek

I am a sister, a student, and have a love for music. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in good old, SoCal and have remained here since. I recently graduated high school and have started my education at a local community college. I spend my days going to school and babysitting a family of seven! Seems like a big job, but I love every minute of it. You cannot recreate the sweet moments of rocking a baby to sleep, or having a child tell you how much they love you, that's what keeps me going! When I'm not taking care of children, I love to exercise and stay healthy!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the strength it gives me in these troubled times. I have recently gained a bigger testimony of the Gospel and the role it plays in every moment of my life, because of the trials I have faced. During these times of sorrow and despair I have exercised my faith by turning to the Lord for strength, and every time I have done so I have been blessed with peace and the knowledge that my trials, if endured, will bless my life. I am so thankful for the Savior, and for the comfort it brings me to know that there is someone else who knows exactly how I am feeling, whether it be happy or sad. He is my best friend, and my brother and I do not know what I would do without Him. I am a Mormon because I know this church is true, and that the Spirit will confirm that to all those who choose to believe.

How I live my faith

When I was in high school I spent most every morning attending seminary, which was a class in the morning so that as youth we could learn about the Gospel. Although at times it was hard to wake up at 6 am every morning, the knowledge I learned there will continue with me for the rest of my life. It was such a blessing to be able to bond with other youth your age, and share the Spirit. Now that I have graduated, I go to the a ward that is filled with young adults just like me, and it is amazing! On weekday nights, I now attend institute, where we gather one night a week and learn about the church, read the scriptures, and feel the Spirit. I can't express how grateful I am for this Church, and for the opportunity I have been given to attend church on a weekly basis, and other activities during the week. I love the Gospel!
