Hi I'm Joe

I love life, my wife, my family and my Savior, Jesus Christ - who means everything to me.

About Me

I love family, fun, computers, airplanes, outdoors and life. But most of all I love my wife and forever sweatheart and our Savior. As a father of six children, who are now all grown, I enjoy time with them whenever I get the opportunity. They are very important to me and I want them to be happy more than anything. My wife and sweatheart is my best friend and I look forward to almost every minute we get to do things or just spend time together. Together, we are far happier than I can even imagine being separate. All the above, and my own life and happiness I owe to the grace and loving tenderness of my Savior, Jesus Christ. It is to him that I owe everything. For He has given me everything. All hope, all happiness, all my faith and trust in a worthwhile future.

Why I am a Mormon

I would like to think I have been one of open mind. I seek to learn and understand for myself, not just because someone, of what ever source,"said so". I seek learning from as many potential sources as I have found, but I have learned that truth must be gleaned (and cherished) as flecks of gold can be sifted from raw material. But knowledge of truth and understanding comes from more than mere words. I have come to know and trust that each of us has an inherent sense of good or bad, right or wrong. Learning to use this sense is a learning of it's own and must be nurtured, but this is essential in obtaining truth. Additionally, I have come to know that there is a God in Heaven and that He answers prayers. Through turning to Him, it is possible to learn what cannot be found from any other source. It has been my personal experience that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (often referred to as "Mormon's") not only encourages it's members to learn as much as they can and live as best they can, it provides the best environment for doing this. This is exemplified in it's structure, it's history, it's people, it's scriptures, it's revelations, it's teachings and it's very being. Most importantly, it is through my experiences in life and belonging to this church that I have personally come to know the Savior, His love and power in my life.

How I live my faith

It is from our Savior, His love, tenderness, and forgiveness that I have a better life and hope for an even better future. It is from His love that I learn to love, from His tender mercies that I learn patience and forgiveness, from His grace that I have learned to be forgiven, to grow, to have hope, to trust and to believe in the eternities ahead. I both know and trust His goodness because I have seen Him. He has preserved my life. He has sustained me when I have needed Him. He has mended me raised me up when I have suffered or felt the deepest sorrows within and had no where else to turn. I know His rebirth because I have been born of Him. All personal pain, discouragement, fear and/or shortcomings have and/or will be swallowed up in this knowledge and belief. I hope each day that my life, countenance and how I treat others can be at least a small example of the love and hope He has given me.
