Hi I'm Max

I speak Korean. I like basketball and volleyball. I want to go to Med School. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 23 years old and currently a student. I am engaged to a beautiful woman and we can't wait to be married. In my spare time I like go to the gym and lift weights, play basketball, and play volleyball. I am the 2nd youngest in my family with three older sisters and a younger brother. I enjoy movies, mostly comedies and I also enjoy music.

Why I am a Mormon

My Parents were baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints when they were in their early 20's. Because of this I was then born going to church since I was a little kid. When I was 8 years old I was baptized. Although I have been raised in a church going family I had to obtain a testimony of Jesus Christ and of the Book of Mormon for myself. When I was 15 years old I finished reading the Book of Mormon for the first time. After reading it I knelt and prayed and the feelings I got were unforgettable. It was a mixture of peace and burning in my heart. I knew in my brain and heart that the Book of Mormon was true through the power of the Holy Ghost. With this knowledge I also knew that Joseph Smith was truly called to be a prophet of God and that the Church of Jesus Christ wasn't just another church, but in fact God's true and living church on the earth today. Through the Gospel of Jesus Christ I have found answers to life's questions: why am I here? Where will I go after I die? Is God real and does He care? With my faith and knowledge of the Gospel of Jesus Christ I haven't been protected from trials but instead have been given strength and guidance through these trials. I know I am not alone but all that I go through is a part of God's greater plan and will work out for my benefit. I know God lives, that Jesus Christ is my Savior and redeemer. They love me and want me to be happy. Through obedience to the laws and commandments which God has provided through his prophets I know I will reach my ultimate goal of having an eternal family and living with God again someday.

How I live my faith

Through church I have had several opportunities to serve my community. When I was 20 years old I served a 2 year mission for the church in Seoul South Korea. Through this I learned many life lessons and created priceless relationships with the Korean people. I returned home in October 2010. Since then I have had other opportunities to serve the community through service projects. I currently have the opportunity every Sunday to teach people how to prepare to be a missionary like I was in Korea.
