Hi I'm Libby

I have always been a truth seeker and so I am very happy to tell you that because of that...I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife, mother, grandmother and I am happy to say...I Am A Mormon!

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been a seeker of truth. As a Methodist, I never really felt truly "saved" although I loved my Methodist Church. I taught Sunday School. But my prayer was always that I might know what the Lord would have me do, so that I might live and be acceptable to him. When I was 23 years old, Mormon missionaries knocked on my door. I let them in and listened to them. I read all the literature they gave to me. I fasted. I prayed to know the truth of all that they taught me. I endeavored to keep the word of wisdom so that I could know the truth through my earnest seeking and prayers. After much study and the most profound desire to know for myself, the Spirit of the Lord did truly manifest the truth of the restored Church of Jesus Christ (of Latter-day Saints) to me. I was baptized in May of l969. My testimony of this divine work has grown and grown and grown and still continues to grow daily.

How I live my faith

I am a member of a small branch in Darien. I presently am a teacher (for the last four year) in Sunday School called the gospel doctrine class. I also was a teacher of the youth in a program called Seminary. I began by teaching home study for six years and went on to teach early morning seminary for l2 years! I taught 9th through 12th grades meeting from 6:30 A.M.-7:30 A.M. five days a week during the school year. The best way to learn of Christ and his word is to drink deeply from it and all of these years of teaching have enabled me to do just that! Reading the scriptures will strengthen our testimonies daily!
