Hi I'm Rebecca

I am a teacher. I have lived in 12 states. I'm a single mother of 2 dogs. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an elementary school teacher who loves the uniqueness that each child brings to the classroom. I have lived in 12 states from New Mexico where I was born, to Florida where I worked at Disney World (I may have sewn the name on the back of your mouse ears!), to South Carolina where I now reside. I love this beautiful country and have found that people are really more the same than different. I also work at a shoe store on the side. Is it really work if you get paid to play with shoes? I don't think so! If I have any free time, you will find me reading, playing with my 2 dogs, puppy bathing at the humane society, or finding something crafty to make.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to two loving parents who are converts to the gospel. All of my extended family are members of other faiths. What is wonderful is that we all share a faith in our Savior, Jesus Christ and the love he has for each of us. We all share a desire to be better, do better, and serve others around us. My faith gives me complete peace of mind in such a crazy world and the comforts of knowing that through prayer and scripture study, I know that my Father in Heaven has a plan for me. I know that I have a loving Heavenly Father who wants me to be successful in my life and has given me this faith to help me in these desires. I choose to be a Mormon, because this gospel is complete in helping me to grow more Christ like daily, and live a fulfilling and reward life.

How I live my faith

I read my scriptures and pray daily. I also teach a class every fourth Sunday that helps us understand better living Christ's principles in today's world. I tell everyone about my younger brother who is serving a full time mission for the church. Most importantly, I try to find ways to serve others around me either in my community or the community I work in. I love that this faith gives me so many ways to learn, and grow and develop new skills and talents.
