Hi I'm Craig

I'm a father of two. I'm a doctoral student in clinical psychology. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a doctoral student in clinical psychology at Ohio University. I am interested in the development of interventions that help the families of students with disruptive behavior disorders. I have been married to the love of my life since 2007 and have two beautiful children. Going through graduate school with a family is a challenge, but I am so grateful for the support and love they give me. I enjoy camping, hiking, running, rock climbing, singing, playing the guitar and finding moments to play and relax with my wife and family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because it just feels right. The gospel of Jesus Christ gives me purpose and guidance in my life. Reading from the Holy Bible, the Book of Mormon, and the teachings from modern day prophets answers the questions of my soul such as who I am, what my purpose in life is, and how my relationship with my Savior Jesus Christ can enrich every aspect of my life. Inside, I know that it is true. Not only on a rational level, but on a deeper spiritual level. It is as if all of the puzzle pieces in life connect perfectly as I study and try to live the gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that He has blessed my life in innumerable ways and that living by His teachings brings real peace and joy into my life.

How I live my faith

I work with the young men in my community both as a Scout Master and as a spiritual leader. We meet once a week on a weekday to help the young men meet the requirements to becoming Eagle Scouts, which is a blast! We often get to go out camp outs, hike, canoe, and serve the members of our community. On Sundays, I often get to prepare lessons about Jesus Christ and his gospel (such as about faith, prayer, service, and Christ's sacrifice for each of us). It builds my faith studying the scriptures and teaching others about Jesus Christ. It is also wonderful for me to see the young men I work with develop their faith in Jesus Christ and strive to live by his teachings with their families and at school.
