Hi I'm Michael

I'm a professor at a community college. I'm a husband and a father. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a professor at a community college where I teach Spanish and English to those that don't speak English. I enjoy spending time with my wife and four children. When I get a chance, I enjoy playing basketball, especially with my family. I play the piano and am learning to play the organ.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents joined the Church when I was about 2 years old. As I grew in knowledge about the gospel I could feel the Spirit tell me of its truthfulness. During my mission and as I have served in different capacities in the Church I have seen how the teachings of the gospel, especially the teachings about what Christ offers, have changed people’s lives. I am grateful to have the gospel and a living prophet to guide me in my life and in raising my family. The gospel provides strength and comfort to me.

How I live my faith

I feel the gospel teaches me how I should be as a person, so I try to apply its principles to my life by how I act and treat others whether it’s my personal life or professional life. I try to take opportunities to serve both in the community and the Church. For example, I have enjoyed volunteering with Meals on Wheels with my wife, working with the youth of the Church, and lending a hand to those in need. As a college professor, I try to make my interactions with students positive and uplifting.
