Hi I'm Verl

I grew up in Show Low Arizona. I am a property manager. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the 9 child out of 10. I have 8 older sisters and 1 younger brother. I graduated from college with an associate degree in Automotive repair. I have had several jobs through the years and am now a property manager. I am married to a wonderful woman and I have 6 children(3 girls and 3 boys) and have 7 grandchildren and 1 on the way. I served a mission for the church in Argentina for 2 years. I love to hike and have hiked the Grand Canyon many times.

Why I am a Mormon

I was very blessed to be born into the church and to receive the blessings of the gospel. I can not image my life with out the gospel or where I would be. I was raised by stalwart parents who taught me the gospel and as I grew older was able to receive a conviction by personal revelation that the gospel is true and that I am on the right path. The gospel of Jesus Christ is an anchor in my life in this very troubled world. I know that Jesus Christ established his church on the earth when he was here and that our church today is patterned after the church he established with apostles and prophets. I testify that we have apostles and prophets on the earth today that receive revelation from God to help us navigate through the challenges we face each day in our lives.

How I live my faith

Over the years I have had the honor of holding callings in the church that have helped me grow. I have worked with the youth in the Boy Scouts and I feel like my service there has helped the boys grow into good men. I have worked with the adults through home teaching, where we visit other families in the church and give lessons to uplift them spiritually and also to find out temporal needs they might have and take care of those needs. I have received much joy and satisfaction when I have been able to help others. It helps me to forget myself and some of my problems. I also have home teachers who come and visit my family to assess any needs my family might have. In the church the family is the most important thing in our lives, so I try to always make my family the highest priority. We study the scriptures together, pray together, play together, eat together. My wife and I are sealed for all eternity in the temple and our children are sealed to us, so we can be together in the next life. Nothing gives me more satisfaction than spending time with my family.
