Hi I'm Camden

I grew up in Idaho. I love sports, writing, and movies. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love playing sports, especially basketball, football, and track. I also love writing (songs, stories, poems). I've had a couple poems published in anthologies. I am way interested in psychology, and plan on studying that in college. Life is amazing, and I want to live it to the absolute fullest. I love the opportunities it contains. I love my family I currently (6/6/2012) am serving a full-time, Spanish-speaking mission for the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormons).

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have gained a knowledge of this church's truthfullness for myself. It is hard for people to understand how you can KNOW it is true, but once you test it out, and discover for yourself, you can't deny it any longer. By "testing it out", I mean learning about it, and then praying to our Heavenly Father, asking if it is true. God wants what is best for us, right? So- he would never lead anyone the wrong way. Ask, and you shall receive. I also am Mormon because I recognize all the good things this gospel brings. Something that brings about such joy, peace, and good cannot be bad. God has a plan for us. And we can know of it ourselves. If we give the effort to know, he will give us our answers. I know this to be true. I am proud to be a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving a mission, in which I teach people the the gospel of Jesus Christ, and help them bring their lives closer to Him. I pray regularly to my Heavenly Father- thanking him for all the good that I have, as well as asking for help with my struggles. I help teach in Church. I help people partake of the Sacrament. I assist the sick, and those in need. I try my best to see everybody as a child of our Heavenly Father. I am far from perfect, but I strive to do my best. I want to be a good person.

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

We believe that the purpose of life is to learn, grow, and change to become more like our example and Savior, Jesus Christ. Because of Christs' suffering for us(atonement), every struggle, weakness, disappointment, pain, and heartache in this life is an opportunity to become more Christlike. We get stronger. We prepare for Heaven. Show more Show less

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

Jesus Christ suffered for every pain, struggle, and sin we experience in this life- the price is already paid. Jesus Christ can therefore offer us grace. We will never pay Christ back equally for what He did for us- that is why it's grace. However, in return he does ask that we let his grace change us. His grace is what carries us as we strive to change to become better, and more like Him. Show more Show less
