Hi I'm Melody

I live in South Carolina and love the beauty of the south. I am a mother of four with two grandchildren. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I own my own retail business and love my job. I like to visit with my customers and take care of them but I hate the paperwork that goes with the job. I have been married for 28 years and have 4 children and 2 grandchildren. They are my greatest joy. Becoming a mother was a blessing beyond words. Being a mother is a huge responsibility that I take seriously. My husband and I love to go on cruises to get away and spend quality time together.

Why I am a Mormon

I did not grow up with any religious background. Before learning about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints I was having religious questions that I didn't have anyone to ask about. I meet the young man at a dance and he told me he was a Mormon. I didn't even know what that meant. So he explained a little of his beliefs with me. I was very interested and asked the missionaries tons of questions. I love the knowledge that Jesus visited the American continent after his death. All people are important to Jesus Christ. I am grateful to know I am a daughter of God. That he loves me and knows me by name. I am important to HIM.

How I live my faith

For nine years I have taught early morning scripture study to high school students before they go to school. I love studying the scriptures and learning. I wish I had a better memory so I could remember all that I read and study. It is a joy to have knowledge of a loving Heavenly Father who sent His son to rescue us from this wicked world. I want the youth of the world to know there is blessings in doing what is right. We can return to live with our Heavenly Father. We are part of His family and He wants us to come home to Him but to do that we have to live righteously. It is never too late to ask for forgiveness and repent when we make mistakes. No one is perfect. I say my prayers daily to help me stay strong and overcome the temptations and wickedness of the world. I want to help others see the good in our world and want to be better people living in our world. We have to teach the youth to make good choices and decisions in their lives. We have to be their example.
