Hi I'm Hailey

I'm a southern California girl who loves reading, dancing, and being with her family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm currently attending BYU in Utah as a Nursing Major. I just recently got accepted into this program and will be starting Fall of 2016 when I return from my mission for the church. I'm kind of a nerd and proud of it. I'm a huge book worm. Reading is one of my great passions. Some of my favorite series are Harry Potter, The Mortal Instruments, The Infernal Devices, and the Apollyon Series. As you can tell I'm a huge Fantasy nerd. I've read 541 books and have no intention of slowing down. I also love learning. I find so much joy in learning about everything and anything I can. I also love dancing. I danced competitively all throughout high school and when I moved to Utah to attend school tried to take as many classes as I could while working through my demanding school schedule. My family has taught me the importance of music and it is a huge part of my life and the way I feel the spirit.

Why I am a Mormon

I’ve seen what Christ’s love can do in people’s lives and I want them to know that Christ loves them and knows them, and has every desire for them to come unto him. I know without a shadow of a doubt that when you choose to act like Christ and follow his example you’re life is better. I also know that Christ is a forgiving and loving God and he knows you’re not going to be perfect and he knows that it is difficult, but he is ready and willing to accept you into his fold and to forgive you of all of your mistakes past and future. Rex D. Pinegar also said, “Remember who you are. You are a son or daughter of our Heavenly Father.” I know that going on this mission is where I am supposed to be. I have prayed and I have studied and I have fasted and I know with a sureness of heart that the Lord has need of me in Italy. I know that this gospel is true. That the message of Jesus Christ and his teachings are true. I know that he sacrificed his life so that we could be forgiven of our imperfections and failings here on the Earth. I know that he was resurrected and that he will come again. I have a testimony of the Book of Mormon and truth of its words. It is scripture and it is backed by the power of the Lord. I know that in times of trial and heartache we can pray and ask the Lord for help and he will come to us. I know that Thomas S. Monson is a latter day prophet on this Earth, and that Joseph Smith was asked to restore this gospel. I have a testimony of the importance of families. Families are the most important people on this Earth. I thank Heavenly Father for the people he has put in my life. I could not be at this point with my testimony or in my life without the example of my parents, my church leaders, my various mentors, and my friends. I love this gospel and I love my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ Amen.

How I live my faith

Currently I help with the youth groups in our church. I attend Wednesday night activities and help teach the YW of our area. I am leaving October 29th to serve a mission for the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I have been called to serve in the Italy Rome Mission and will be serving for a period of 18 months. I am so excited to serve the Lord and to share my testimony and belief in Christ with the people of Italy.
