Hi I'm Ed

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah. I have been a Mormon all of my life. I now live in Spokane, Washington.

About Me

I went to school and graduated from College as a Deaf Educator. I was then hired as a Seminary Teacher for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I taught seminary and institute classes for thirty six years in High Schools and Colleges and in Prisons and detention centers. I have five daughters and a lovely wife and we now have eighteen grandchildren which we greatly love. I am now retired and I get to work in my yard and garden and work with wood making little objects for the family. I had two strokes recently, but recovered and I am now getting my health back with eating right and working out every day at a Gym. I feel much better and hope to live a long life because of those changes.

Why I am a Mormon

I''m a Mormon because I made it a matter of prayer when I was very young and felt the spirit of the Holy Ghost which let me know that the Church was true and that I was following what my Savior would want me to do. I have had many experiences within my life and the lives of others that verify to me the truthfulness of the gospel. I and they have been healed and our lives have been spared. I have felt the spirit often when making choices in my life dealing with where to live, what to do on certain occasions, my profession and many other things. I have served the Lord in many capacities and have felt that spirit each time that I have served. I love working with others and have seen their lives change for the good by what they have found to be true. I love my Savior and look forward to seeing him one day again and living in Heavenly Father's presence.

How I live my faith

I am presently serving as a Service Missionary with my wife in teaching people who do not speak much English, so they can converse in English in their community. Anyone can come to the class and many of them do to learn to speak better. I just pronounce the words in English to them and help them to say it correctly and then we put them in sentences as well. I have taught all of my life in the classroom to youth and adults both. I love to teach them about the Savior and we read from the scriptures and learn about the prophets of God. I have served as a Bishop, a teacher, a welfare agent and as a counselor to many organizations in the church. I have served in the community with those who are less fortunate and helped them to fit in better and feel more comfortable in the community with their language or getting them gifts for their children during the hard times.
