Hi I'm Lucille

I am the mother of 9 children and the grandmother of 45. A retired school teacher and widow, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest of 6 children. All of my schooling took place in Minnesota. I graduated from college with a bachelors degree in Elementary Education. I later got an Early Childhood degree in New Jersey and a Masters degree in Curriculum Development. My future husband asked me to marry him on our very first date. We didn't marry until I graduated from college. I then taught school while he finished college. He got a job with Westinghouse as a field engineer and we moved many times in that job. He later moved into their broadcasting division which took us to New York. In this position he became their chief engineer and one job he had was to design the radio antenna that was on the twin towers. It was a sad day 9-11 to see that antenna fall down.

Why I am a Mormon

We joined the church in 1968 in New Jersey after the missionaries taught us about the church. My family moved many times and we always had friends waiting for us at the church. The church lessons are always the same wherever you move. I like that consistency and it made the many moves easier on my children.

How I live my faith

I've served a mission for the Church in Mississippi and Louisiana. I have taught children for many years in many wards. I have held leadership positions for young children and adult organizations. I organized many events while activities leader. I always enjoy meeting and visiting members.
