Hi I'm Angela

I grew up in Idaho. I'm the seventh of seven. I'm a runner. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I lived in Idaho until I was 15 years old. We were part of a very small and close knit community. In this little town I was able to learn many important lessons and develop a closer relationship with my Heavenly Father. Being a part of a large family and a farm, I learned the value of hard work and helping others. Us kids always participated in 4-H so there were always animals to feed and wrestle into becoming semi-manageable for a little kid to handle alone in the show ring. I have also always had a love for sports and outdoor activities. In high school I participated in basketball, volleyball, track, and cross country. I love them all! Basketball and running are probably my favorites though. I also love to go for cookouts and hikes with my family. I love music, singing and dancing. Although, my experience in all those categories is fairly limited. In all these interests and activities, my parents have been there to help every step of the way. They supported us kids in everything we did, and still do. They've always sacrificed to help me and my siblings learn valuable lessons. Somehow, they were able to tame 7 crazy kids and help us to gain testimonies of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Currently, I'm serving my mission for our church in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and am loving life! I feel so blessed to have this opportunity to share the happiness and hope this gospel gives with others.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because a can't afford not to have, and live the gospel. I've been blessed to grow up in a righteous and faithful Latter-Day Saint family surrounded by the good examples of my parents and siblings. I've seen and felt the blessings that the gospel brings and I know that I could never be truly happy without it. Because of Jesus Christ's gospel I am able to face the hardships of life with faith and hope. Moving from my precious little town to the big city was one of the hardest things I've had to do. However, because of this experience I have been able to see more fully the Lord's hand in my life. He has taught me so much and helped me to strengthen my testimony in Him and his Atonement. Never in my life have I had to turn so completely to, and rely so heavily on the Lord. I now realize what a huge blessing it all has been for me, because when it comes to what is most important, I'm going to come away from this experience with much more than I had to give up. I guess that's how the Lord always works though, when we are required to sacrifice something, He will always bless us ten-fold. I know that the my Savior and Redeemer, Jesus Christ lives. He lived a perfect life and then gave that life that I and all who will, might return to live with our Heavenly Father and family in a happiness and joy that is incomprehensible. I know that this is the true and restored church of Jesus Christ in these latter days, and that it was restored through the prophet Joseph Smith. I know that President Thomas S. Monson is the Lord's prophet on earth today and that He leads the church through him. Most importantly, I know that our Heavenly Father loves us with a perfect love, and that we are His children. By understanding this simple principle, the rest just falls in to place.

How I live my faith

Right now, I'm serving as a missionary in Florida. I feel so blessed to have this opportunity to help others come unto Christ and feel of His peace and the love that He has for them. In the process I come closer to Him too. Honestly, there is no better place I could be, or anything better I could do than this. As a missionary I get to live my faith in a very apparent way. I love getting to wear the name of Jesus Christ on my name tag, and represent Him as I do His work. Remembering that I represent Him helps me to try to live as best I can in accordance to His gospel. Because of His gospel, I can go forward each day with so much hope and happiness. I am so grateful for the joy this gospel has given to me, and for the opportunity to share that joy with others!
