Hi I'm Jordan

I live on the Gold Coast. I am married and I'm a Dad. I like to surf and I like AFL. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I work as an accountant at Gold Coast City Council. I am a CPA and have a Masters of Commerce in Financial Planning. I work to live but what I enjoy most is spending time with my family. I have three boys (14, 9 & 1) and three girls (13, 7 & newborn). I love to go surfing with my boys. Mostly I run around after the kids to different sports and hobbies. I support the (once and hopefully soon to be) Mighty Tigers in the AFL. I am currently playing AFL 9's with my 2 older boys and my wife in a mixed team. It's a lot of fun. I am madly in love with my wife. She is amazing, working full time at raising our children.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents became Mormon's when they were teenagers before they met. I was raised a Mormon. I always accepted the church to be true and felt that it was. However, when I approached 19 years of age and was getting ready to go on a 2 year mission, I needed to really make sure I believed the church was true. I read the Book of Mormon properly from cover to cover for the first time. Many nights I couldn't put it down. I felt strongly that the words were true and that God loved me. Some nights I could hardly read the words because I had tears in my eyes. Before long, I couldn't wait to go on a mission and teach others about the Book of Mormon. I was called to New Zealand. I have never wavered in my belief since.

How I live my faith

I am a member of the Mudgeeraba Ward. I serve in the church by working with the young men between the ages of 12 and 18. My specific role is to help them set goals that will set them on a path of success in their future careers, in keeping their bodies fit and healthy, in providing service to others and of course, in developing spiritually. I have Family Home Evening every Monday night at home. We set aside Monday's to have activities and lessons with our family. This helps us stay closer together and allows us as parents to solidify the traits and attributes that we would like to see in our children.
