Hi I'm Stephen

I love my Family, Friends and the outdoors. I love going on hikes, rock climbing, snowboarding, etc. And I'm a Mormon!!!

About Me

I'm the oldest brother of 7 other siblings and I love my big family! I love spending time in the outdoors I love doing anything from a day hike to a back packing trip for the week. I love to go rock climbing, snowboarding, and long boarding. I just love being outside enjoying Gods beautiful creations, and spending time with my awesome family and friends. I'm currently a pre med student and am enjoying all the pleasures that come with that.

Why I am a Mormon

Why i'm a Mormon. I know that this is the true church of God reestablished on the earth today through the Prophet Joseph Smith who was called of God. That God the father and Jesus Christ continue run the church today through the calling of modern day prophets. That Thomas S. Monson the current prophet is called of God, and he leads and guides us today in accordance to the Lords will. I know Gods has blessed us with prophets to lead us today like he did in ancient times. I'm a mormon because I know and love my Savior and all that he has done for me and continues to do for me through the Atonement and the Restoration of the gospel. Because of the hope and guidance I receive from the words of modern day Prophets and Apostles the hope and guidance the messages found in the Bible and Book of Mormon bring to my life. I'm a Mormon because I know that if I live how God has asked us to, I can live with my family for eternity through the restored power of the priesthood and temple blessings. I'm a Mormon because I have seen the hand of God in my life and the lives of those I love more times then I can count. I'm a Mormon because I know that God has restored his gospel in its fullness through the prophet Joseph Smith. I know this because the Spirit has whispered these things to me many times. I'm a Mormon because I know that Lord Jesus Christ did come to the earth; that he suffered for our sins so that we can turn to him, repent, and be forgiven our sins. I know that he raised from the grave three days later as the risen Lord and that he has reestablished his church upon the earth today as The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. And that in and through the fullness of his teachings and ordinances restored to the earth we can all be perfected and once again live with Him and the Father after this life through our obedience. I'm a Mormon because I know The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is Christ's church.

How I live my faith

I choose to live my faith by trying to walk the path my Father in heaven wants me to. By listening to and follow every prompting he sees fit to give me. By following every commandment he's given both in the scriptures and those received through the guidance of modern day prophets. By giving service to those that surounds me and the ones I love. By reading the scriptures and treasuring the words that the God has blessed us with. By trying to be like Jesus in all my actions, and sharing his message of hope, repentance, and the opportunity to return to and live with our Savior and Father in Heaven again through our faithfulness. I love attending the temple as well, no place on earth can bring us closer to the Lord then his temples. I try to stand as a witness of the Lord in all things that I do wether its choosing what kind of movie to watch, music to listen too, the things I say, and the places I choose to go.

Are there restrictions based on race or color concerning who can join The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and have the priesthood?

Not a one!!!! We are all Gods children and as such he loves us each with out any regards to color or race. To have the priesthood the only requirements are that you are a man and that you are worthy and live in compliance to Gods commandments to have this blessing. If your not currently worthy to have this blessing you can become so through the power of repentance. Every son of God has and is blessed with the opportunity to have the priesthood.
