Hi I'm Britton Humphries

I'm a new Mom to be, I work at an animal clinic, I live in Florida, and I am a proud Mormon!!!

About Me

I was married January of 2011 and am currently pregnant with a little girl! When I'm not working at the animal clinic, I really enjoy watching movies with other couples, getting Moochi (frozen yogurt), and of course shopping. I'm a very outgoing individual and a people person. Friends would say that I'm easy to talk to, spontanious and very unexpected! I will do silly things just to try and make someone laugh whenever I can. I have recently found a love for crafts, if I can keep my hands busy decorating, sewing, or scrapbooking then I am one happy person! I love to cook, I'd rather watch the Food Network than a Soap opera. Pinterest is my guilty pleasure. Two things in life that I am proud of are graduating High School as a Junior, and recieving my Young Women Recognition Award ( a prestigous accomplishment for LDS girls ages 12-17 ). I attended 5 years of Girls Camp and LOVED it!

Why I am a Mormon

I've grown up alot in a few short years. I have gained my testimony of the gospel through the atonement of Jesus Christ. I had plenty of struggles trying to fit in wherever I went and following the wrong crouds. Through faith and repentance, I regained my footing and I now stand strong making daily righteous decisions to become more like my Lord and Savior. Each day I try and set an example to those around me so I can shed light to them of how happy life can be through following Christ. I have been a member of the Mormon religion all my life. Through reading the Book of Mormon, I have been able to gain a testimony of this church and God's eternal plan for me. I am so thankful for the power of prayer, that I can have a direct line to speak to Christ whenever I want to. The Christian poem "Footprints" best maps out my life. I was so strong in walking by the Lords side, and then I saw my life only had one set of footprints as if God turned his back on me when I was struggling most, but I repented and realized I was living a life unpleasing to the Lord. It was then that I realized, there was only one set of footprints because my Savior was carrying me through my tough times. The atonement has the power to change anyones life, no matter what the circumstance. Trust me, I have been there, I have seen its healing power and it has blessed my life tremendously.

How I live my faith

Since I have gained my testimony, I now work with in the girls youth program helping to teach them to come unto Christ. These group of girls are such an inspiration to me and they make me want to be a better person each and every day. I make sure I have daily prayer with my Savior each day. My day seems to go better if i encorporate prayer and reading the Book of Mormon in my daily routine, without it, I am more irritable and not in the right mind set. I assure anyone that if you pray and ask in faith if the Book of Mormon is the true word of God and you read a chapter, or even a verse, you will feel the holy spirit comfort you and telling you that it is true.
