Hi I'm Mallory

I am a Southern California girl who loves the beach, shopping, my family and being a missionary.

About Me

Born and raised in Orange County. I am the oldest of 6 children. I am currently serving a mission in the New Jersey Morristown Spanish speaking mission. My mission means absolutely everything to me. I am the result of devoted, goodly parents who truly do love the Lord. They raised me unto Him and I have them to thank for the wonderful example they have shown me of what it means to live the gospel. I grew up dancing for about 14 years. I have given up taken classes, but I still burst out into a random dance sesh daily. I love food. I can eat a 1 lb. burger without any problem and I prefer my food especially spicy. Being in New Jersey, I have gained a new found appreciation for palm trees and the salt water smell of home. I have completed my Freshman year at BYU and will be returning to my studies after my mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been born and raised in the church. I have the most amazing parents who have lived their lives in such a way that I've never questioned my faith. I have also been so blessed to have a wonderful, large extended family who all practice their faith diligently. When I left home to go to college, I realized that I had to make the conscious decision of whether or not I was going to continue this lifestyle. I remember looking for happiness in many places and realizing that the only time I truly felt happy was when I was keeping God's commandments. So I am Mormon because I know that living my faith is the only thing that will make me happy. I am also Mormon because I love my Savior. I want to be someone He can always count on. I know that living the His true and complete teachings, which are only found in His church, I can come to know Him more and more everyday.

How I live my faith

I currently live by faith by serving a full-time mission. It was something I never planned on and frankly never had the desire to do, but I can truly say that serving this mission is the best decision I have ever made. It required much prayer and fasting, and as we do those things, we are able to understand better what the Lord has in store for us. That is ultimately how I strive to live my faith, aligning my will with the will of my Heavenly Father. As we do that, we are able to offer unto him our sacrifice, even "a broken heart and a contrite spirit" The most effective way for me to live my faith is to truly forget about myself and just fully focus and these wonderful people am I teaching here in New Jersey. To do all I can to lift the hands who hang low and whose knees are week. Basically, trying to do exactly what the Savior would do if he were He. And he always "went about doing good"
