Hi I'm Kaylee

I grew up in Idaho, I love to read, I'm an undergraduate majoring in psychology and minoring in English, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Kaylee, and I love to read and write. I'm currently an undergraduate studying psychology and minoring in English. And I'm a Mormon and currently serving as a full time missionary.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a home that was very active in the Mormon church. But that doesn't mean that I always agreed with or lived by the teachings. I had to work very hard to gain my own testimony of the church. I'm a Mormon because I know it's what makes me happiest. It can be challenging at times, but I wouldn't ever give it up. Living the standards of the gospel has helped me to gain happiness in this life, which is all that I could ever ask for. I am a Mormon because I know that I am a beloved daughter of my Heavenly Father. Being Mormon has helped me to become the person I want to be.

How I live my faith

I live my faith every day by trying to keep the standards of the church. I live my faith not only by going to church every Sunday to worship my Heavenly Father, but by also trying to become more like Jesus Christ. I try to help others whenever I can, and to befriend the friendless. I live my faith simply by loving those around me, because that's really what the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and its gospel are all about--it's a gospel of love.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Kaylee
Knowing that Mormonism is true can take time. For almost everyone, it doesn't happen in an instant--it sure didn't for me. But I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that it is true. You have to start with faith, and then by faith your testimony can grow. Doing the small things like praying to God and asking Him if what you are learning about is true, and studying the scriptures with an open mind and heart are key. Listen and wait for the small, sweet feelings that come from the Holy Ghost, who will give comfort to your mind and heart in the matter. Continue to live the commandments of the gospel so that you can feel the influence of the Holy Ghost. These feelings are feelings of peace, joy, comfort, and happiness. Show more Show less
