Hi I'm Michael

I grew up on a dairy farm, I'm a pilot and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up on a farm with a loving family who later moved to the city. What a change it was moving from the country life to the city life. This is probably the reason why I love to be outdoors do activities like shooting guns, camping, hunting, and just being with my family. I am the youngest of three brothers and two sisters and we have a lot of fun together although that wasn't always the case. I attended a university for one year training to be a pilot and can't wait for the next chance I will get to fly and continue my training. I hope to one day be able to serve in the armed forces as a Fighter Pilot and have a family of my own. I have had many experiences in my life; some rewarding and others no so rewarding but of all the experiences and things that I've done, the most rewarding thing would be coming closer and coming to know more of my Savior, Jesus Christ. I have found this through living the restored gospel of Jesus Christ which has allowed me to feel joy, peace, tranquility and love in my life especially during times of challenge and trial. This same knowledge and true understanding of Christ and His gospel is available to all who seek with a sincere desire and real intent. Through the restored gospel you can feel the love that your Savior has for you more fully and recieve a greater amount of peace and joy in your life than anything else you could do.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have been able to come closer to my Savior Jesus Christ through His restored gospel. I have a sure knowledge that Heavenly Father does hear and answer my prayers and that He has once again restored His true church on the earth today. I also know and have felt the power of the Atonement in my life, that it has the ability to strenghten and heal as I continue to follow and obey the commandments of the Lord, continually trying to improve each day. I grew up with my family in the mormon church but do not rely upon them for my beliefs, I have personally come to know from my Heavenly Father that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is Christ's church upon the earth. This means that this is the only church which has all of the ordinances, convenants, and proper authority necessary for eternal salvation which brings peace and true happiness. It is because of this knowledge and happiness that I have recieved from God that I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints or more commonly known as a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and have the opportunity to find and teach people everyday about the wonderfull message of the restored gospel and how it can bless their lives personally and as a family. I have definately been able to see the blessings that come from living the restored gospel and deeply desire to share it with others.

What is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' attitude regarding homosexuality and same sex marriage?

Through the scriptures and modern revelation, we know and understand that God has created a plan for us, as His literal spirit children, that would allow us to have lasting happiness and to be able to return to live in His presence again. It is called the Plan of Happiness and families have an essential role in it, having been established by God for His eternal purposes. As members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints we believe that marriage between a man and woman is a sacred trust with God that has been established for the foundation from which to raise children. As such, we do not support homosexuality or any of it's propensities as it is contrary to God's plan but do believe that true and lasting happiness comes from following God's plan and from living His commandments, such as the Law of Chastity. Though the laws or customs of the world will change, God's commandments and promised blessings never will. This Law of Chastity explains that the powers of procreation are a sacred gift from God and should only be used responsibly within the within the bonds of legal matrimony between a husband and wife and to abstain from homosexual or any sexual relations outside of legal matrimony. While we do not support homosexuality we do not condemn those with these tendencies. Instead, we offer our help and support to those who wish to overcome these tendencies and any other challenges through the atonement of Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
