Hi I'm MaKayla

I am a traveler, I am a learner, I am joyful, and I am a MORMON.

About Me

I am from the state of joy and sun, Arizona, USA! And I come from a long line of members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormons). BUT, I came for myself to know that the gospel has been restored, I don't take it from the family who comes before me. That being said, I love my family more than anything else in the whole world. I am the oldest, with both a younger brother and a younger sister. Next to family, traveling is my second love! I want to go...EvErYwHeRe. I loves sports - soccer! And the out doors....adventure is out there! I have a passion for intelligence. I want to learn all I can to better the world, to better individual lives. I attend Brigham Young University - Idaho. I served a mission in the Washington Federal Way mission, privileged to teach in Spanish (Hola!). In the end, I believe life is beautiful. Live every the moment. Laugh always. Love often.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? No it is not because I have a long line of Mormons in my family, It is because I have found for myself that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (The Mormon church) is the true church of God. I am Mormon because I have a testimony of this church. I have a testimony that my Heavenly Father answers my prayers. I know that studying my scriptures daily brings me strength. I know of the power of the Priesthood and I know that Priesthood blessings always works. I know that their is a plan of salvation and one day I will be able to live with my family for all time and eternity including my spouse who I will be sealed to in the temple. And most importantly I love my Heavenly Father and I know that he loves me. I am a Mormon because I know these things are true and I strive every day to live theses things.

How I live my faith

The most important way in which I live my faith is by always choosing the right and trying to be an example. I read the Book of Mormon everyday and begin and end each of my days with a sincere prayer to my Heavenly Father. I also live my faith by fulfilling my church callings. I have served as both the president and first counselor of the young women (girls ages 12-18) in my ward. As well as I am currently serving as the first counselor in relief society (women ages 18 and up). I live my faith everyday by striving to become more and more like my Savior.
