Hi I'm Ruben Henao

I was born in Colombia and then moved to the USA. I'm 14 years old. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 14 years old and I am currently a freshman in high school. I like to play soccer and video games. I enjoy hanging out with my friends and doing outdoor activities with my family. I have 3 siblings and I like to play and hang out with them. I go to seminary in the mornings with my friends, and it's a great way to start off my day. I am planning on graduating out of high school with most of my associates degree done, and then attending at least a semester of college. Then I plan on going on a mission and later returning to finish up my bachelors. Then I want to go to medical school to become a neurosurgeon.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and I am happy because of this. This gospel has helped me live a better life and has shown me how to get through these tough days. Attending seminary really helps me with my day at school, and having those teachings with me throughout the day help me make better decisions. I like to go to church on Sundays and attend all of the activities at church because not only are the fun and exciting, they all also help you spiritually. I would like to bear my testimony that I know that this is the one and only true church upon the face of the Earth. I also know that Jesus Christ is our savior and that he died for us so that we could repent and return with our Heavenly Father. I know that above everything we must show charity to one another in order to be saved and that we must love God with all our heart, I know that Joseph Smith was the prophet of the revelation, and that our current prophet Thomas S. Monson is a holy man and that he speaks with God. I know that we should try to live the best lives we can by being honest and righteous people and I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I am currently the Teachers Quorum President, therefore, I have the obligation to help the other youth in my quorum and to be there at the activities to be an example. I participate every week in Boy Scouts and I try to always attend church projects and activities.
