Hi I'm Annette

I'm a young adult with a desire to change the world one smile at a time. I'm an artist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a young adult; I enjoy sports, art, music and dancing. I love doing things for others, especially making them smile. :) I know I'm a daughter of God and He loves me. I'm generally happy, optimistic, and in a bright mood. :) I have the desire to change/inspire the world. I love being a Mormon. :)

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I love being one. I'm a Mormon because I know it's true and my life is blessed because of it. I'm a Mormon because I have hope for a brighter tomorrow and a love for my Heavenly Father; I have felt the sweetness of His spirit in my soul. I have no doubts with what I believe in. Check it out and see for yourself. :)

How I live my faith

One thing that I love being able to do in church is lead the hymns we sing in church; I'm the chorister. I love being able to express my testimony and love for the gospel through the songs we sing and letting it show on my face and burn in my heart too. It keeps me involved in the meetings and since that's my duty, it helps me have stronger motivation to be there every single Sabbath day. I live my faith by trying my best to do what Jesus would do and act in what I believe is true; such as being honest, true, chaste, benevolent and virtuous. Service is one of the best ways to show my faith, and I love doing it. :) I also try to talk the way a Latter-day Saint member would talk-kind, uplifting, free of foul and offensive language, and full of love and forgiveness. :) I live the "golden rule". The way I live shows who I am, and who I am is a daughter of God. :)

What do Mormons believe about Jesus Christ? Do Mormons believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God?

Absolutely! :) Jesus Christ is the literal Son of God, our brother, our Savior and our friend. We believe and know that Christ suffered for our sins and pains/sorrows in the Garden of Gethsemane and gave his life on the cross (providing an Atonement) so that we can return to live in heaven again. :) We believe that Jesus was perfect and that, under the direction of our Heavenly Father, created the world that we now live on. We also believe that Christ will be our judge at the last day when life on this earth is over and we stand to be judged whether we go home to heaven or not. We believe that Christ is a member of the Godhead. We believe in Christ. Show more Show less

How can I know Mormonism is true?

We can't give you the answer, you must find it yourself and truly want to know and believe. The way I came to believe that the church is true, or that Mormonism is true, was getting on my knees and asking the Lord through prayer. The answer did not come immediately nor did it come until almost 4 years later when I moved to a new state and found myself without friends for 4 months, those months were hard, but I wouldn't change them for the world! That's the time that I grew close to my Savior through prayer and scripture study since I had no one else really to turn to and then found my answer to my question while coming to know and understand and truly believe that I am a daughter of God and that He knows me and loves me. I know beyond the shadow of a doubt that Mormonism is true, and I'm sticking to that; no one will ever sway me from that. :) So in response to how you can know if the church is true? Read Moroni 10: 4-5 in the Book of Mormon and ask your loving Heavenly Father if the church is true; He will answer you because He knows you and loves you. If He knows a crazy teenage young woman, He knows you too. :) The feeling you'll get as an answer to your question will be indescribable joy, peace, and understanding. :) The Lord loves you, never forget that!
