Hi I'm Ty Lamb

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an active duty soldier. I have served two tours in Baghdad Iraq for a total of 27 months. Anyone who has been deployed for a long period of time knows that it is hard to come home. I love to go off roading in my Jeep. I love to work on just about everything (computers, cars, houses, etc.). I am a father of 5 so yeah I don't have money or time. I am starting school in the fall to finish my degree.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church. But, I am a bit hard headed and had to make the mistakes for myself. I did my own thing for awhile. I didn't find the fun and happiness I thought I would. I woke up one day and fully realized how miserable I really was. Then, I remembered that there is so much more life. I didn't go home right away. I didn't know if I could. Then one day my dad felt inspired to call me and apologize for the way things had between us for several years. That's when I knew that I had to leave the worthless life I was living behind. It took me a bit to straighten my life out. I decided to find out for myself it the church was true. I received my answer through a warming sensation that brought me a feeling of peace and calm that I hadn't known before. I know without a doubt that my redeemer lives and he is my elder brother and advocate with the father. I know this so surely that I could never deny without knowing that I was casting away eternal life and happiness.

How I live my faith

I teach the 10 and 11 year old boys in Sunday school. I have two families that I have the privilege of serving. I go to their home once a month and bring them a message of the gospel. I make sure that everything is ok and see if they need anything. I do my best to lead my family to live the gospel. Being in the military I represent the church every day in the way i conduct myself.
