Hi I'm Bob

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Utah. Lived in CA, AZ, VA and NY in the USA. Also lived in Canada, Puerto Rico and Saudi Arabia

About Me

My mother was born in Canada, father USA. Went on a mission to Quebec Canada among the French Canadian people. I love those people. Returned home to UT, graduating in Finance from the University of Utah. Midway through college I married my beautiful wife. Moved to Orange County CA and worked in Los Angeles and then Orange County. I was transferred to VA where we adopted our first daughter. We then moved to Saudi Arabia. Wow what a great experience. From there we moved to AZ where we adopted our second daughter. Back to Arabia topping off eight years in the Middle East. Back to AZ. Then Puerto Rico and NYC where we have been for 26 years. We love NYC. Hope we can live here even in retirement. I love music. I sing a bit and also love concerts of many kinds. I love a good road trip. Living in the Northeast US provides many scenic places to visit even in a day. I do love Europe - especially Italy, France and the UK. My DNA indicates that my "people" come from Europe, especially England but also Western Europe. I am having fun doing family history work.

Why I am a Mormon

Born a Mormon. Have stayed a Mormon because it makes so much sense. It feels good. It gives meaning and purpose to life. I know that it is true because it brings me peace and helps me get through every day. I especially love the Book of Mormon. I know that it is a great book of scripture. There are numerous "internal witnesses" that tell me that the Prophet Joseph Smith could not have written it of his own intellect. We are so fortunate to have this 2nd witness of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I work in a temple of the Church. It is different from a chapel. Special cerimonies take place in a temple like weddings and baptisms. I feel close to Jesus when I am in the temple. I learn of Him there. I contemplate His great sacrifice while there. I think about what is important in my life and the lives of my family members. I try to live by God's laws. I think that helps me to survive this life and provide for my family in the best possible way. I try to do those things taught to me by my Church leaders and by what I read in the scriptures. I pray for God's help each day.
