Hi I'm Lindsey

I'm a Kentuckian, a college student, and most importantly, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 20 years old and attend a university. I try to enjoy the little things in life and make the most out of what I've been given with. I love looking at the beauty of the world and capturing it with my handy partner, Cannon.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm Mormon simply because I know this is the church of God. I was raised baptist and always knew that Jesus Christ was my savior, but I still had so many questions that went unanswered. When I met a member of the church when I was 19 I was flooded with new information and real answers to my questions. Although I was receiving the answers I've desperately hoped for, I was still hesitant. I was asked to read the Book of Mormon to find out for myself if the church was true. As I read the Book of Mormon, I knew what was written had to be the work of God, there was no doubt in my mind. I knew that joining the church was what God wanted me to do. Knowing this, I made the decision to get baptized. Don't get me wrong, it was not easy. I had thoroughly disappointed my parents and a few of my closest friends didn't support me. Even though I had very little support I still decided to get baptized and it's been the best decision of my life! I've honestly never been happier.

How I live my faith

I go to church every Sunday and try to ready my scriptures every day. I do this not only because my Heavenly Father wants me to, but because it makes me feel good when I do. I also try to make right choices in my everyday life to better glorify Him. Although it may be hard sometimes, Heavenly Father wants you to be happy and He wants to see you do the right thing.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Mountains, the ocean, the moon, a newborn baby. These things tell me there is a God because I can not believe that these things could just happen by chance. These things had to be created by something or someone. Show more Show less

Are Mormons Christians?

Living in Kentucky where Southern Baptist churches are dominant, I feel like I have to answer this question all the time. Let me start off my saying that the name of my church is The Church of Jesus-Christ of Latter-day Saints. Key word in there is Jesus Christ. Our church is based on the teachings of Jesus Christ. Without Christ, there would be no "Mormon Church". Show more Show less
