Hi I'm Yvonne

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of four and a grandmother. My favorite occupation has been that of a wife and mother. I am now graduating with my Bachelor Degree and ready for the first time to be employed outside my family. I love being with my family (close and extended), I enjoy playing volleyball and walking for exercise with my girls. I love life!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe and want to be more like my Savior, Jesus Christ. The LDS church teaches using the revelations of modern day prophets, the Bible and the Book of Mormon to help us understand and know who Jesus Christ is and what He wants us to do. If we do these things we have the opportunity to some day live with Him and our Father in Heaven again. I know there is a life after our mortal death here, I want to be able to live with my family that has passed from this life. I know that through the gospel of Jesus Christ we can do exactly that, we know how and we know what to do to accomplish that. I know that if I am following Jesus Christ's example I can be happier in this life. He taught to love and to help others and as we do this we are a more happy people. All life's questions can be answered by reading and pondering the scriptures. They can enlighten and comfort us in our times of trial. Our Father in Heaven makes covenants or promises with us If we do what He asks, then he will bless us. I know that to be true, I have tried it and it works.

How I live my faith

The biggest part of living my faith comes when I live and interact with my family. I LOVE my family and all that we stand for. We try to treat each other with love and respect and take that love and respect to others in the world. I have the opportunity of working in the young adult ward (adults between the ages of 18 and 30), helping them to know who they are and what they want to stand for, helping them develop faith in our Savior. I make and keep new friends by visiting young adults and women each month to give them a message of encouragement and to help and serve them where they need it. I help organize Family Home Evening, which is getting together on Monday nights and having a spiritual lesson, an activity and some kind of goodies to eat. I also help and organize opportunities for these young adults to get together in a social situation to meet and get to know one another better.
