Hi I'm Ray

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a convert to the church. After many years of searching for truth I found it here. I love watching my Washington Redskins win, (which doesn't happen all that often), watching great college football, riding my Harley Fatboy, watching MMA UFC with friends, and spending time with friends and family. I am a pharmaceutical Representative for a living and enjoying working with people to help them meet their goals.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I have search for truth and a connection to God my entire life. I have found THE Truth and a stronger connection with Jesus Christ and my Heavenly Father in this Church because it is a/the Church of God. I was baptized many years ago into the Baptist church and was on fire that summer but before I left a sleep over camp I felt like I couldn't be a follower of Christ because a over zealous brother told me looking at muscle and fitness and dancing with my grandmother were a sins. I didn't understand these things to be true and there was doctrine presented that testified that they were true. I left feeling rejected and sad feeling I couldn't walk with Christ. As an Adult I tried to go back again but the feelings of guilt and not being worthy were still there and reinforced with the message I heard most weeks. I again left feeling sad and dejected. I then went to a Methodist Church and loved the people and the Pastor their but craved more teaching from the scriptures and direction from my Heavenly Father. I was introduced to the gospel by a great friend who invited the Missionaries to teach me and after many long hours of teaching, praying, and study I can to know that this gospel is TRUE!

How I live my faith

I live my faith one day at a time trying diligently to read my scriptures and say my prayers striving to find out and live Heavenly Fathers Will for my life. (This sounds simple or elementary but it is the key to the Blessed life that I know heavenly Father wants me and all of us to have. He love us and wants the very best for us.) I became the Ward Mission Leader after only being in the church for a little over a year. That means I get to go out with the missionaries and teach people the gospel and answer their questions about my experience. It is such a blessing to have the relationships I do with these young missionaries that are so close to the Lord. I also been able to work with the people in the church to do a VFW project where we went and painted the building for those great veterans, and worked with the kids in teaching scout classes, and teach gospel principals class where I learn as much form our studying and discussing as anyone else in the room.
