Hi I'm Bryce

I protect animals from the elements. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm currently a missionary in Bulgaria. I was a college student studying Industrial Engineering, and will continue when I return home. I draw, play soccer, run, and hope to one day own a finger monkey farm. I have two older brothers. I'm a member of the American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES). I'm also a citizen of the Cherokee Nation. I like to ponder zombies, a statistically due zombie apocalypse (or outbreak), and how to non-violently integrate these potential zombie citizens into a Utopian society. I am pretty good pals with both nature and technology, and often mediate between the two. I enjoy learning about history. I don't play any instruments nor do I sing well. However, I enjoy most genres of music, foremost classic rock and grunge. I find animals very interesting, especially when different species become friends and work together. I like to play computer games and watch movies. I speak sub-par Bulgarian. I find most things to be more fun with friends, but I am also a ponderer. I'm a creature of habit, but I like to branch out, try new things, and form new habits.

Why I am a Mormon

Everyone in my immediate family is a member of this church. However, I chose for myself to remain a member. The initial reason why I chose and decided to remain a member of this church is the changes and examples I have seen in my family. Both of my brothers volunteered to serve missions and preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. When they returned, the changes I saw in them intrigued me. As kids, we would fight very often with each other. However, when they returned, I saw their changes were real, and their actions were sincere. I wanted to have the greater focus, drive for success, and kindness towards others that I witnessed in my brothers, applied to myself. Another thing attracting me to this church is the emphasis on relationships. Not only how important our relationship is with our family, but also our relationship with God, our father in heaven. Just like any other relationship, my relationship with God has taken time to develop, and is founded on trust and love. I've found that finding answers to questions I have strengthens my relationship with God. If I want an answer, I have to search. I find my answers as I study the scriptures, and ask my heavenly father for insight. I appreciate the caring atmosphere created by those in this church who have a sincere desire to improve each others' lives.

How I live my faith

I am often assigned to teach children about Jesus Christ. However, I don't consider myself very successful at this and often end up drawing them animal pictures with a mild gospel theme. Despite this, I live my faith by doing my best to serve others. As others' examples have been important in my life, I try to be an example to others. I do my best to treat others respectfully regardless of whether or not it is reciprocated. Underneath it all, life is difficult for everyone. I have a poor memory, but I try to remember Christ's example and the way he treats others. I share with people what is dear and important to me, God's love.
