Hi I'm Ally

I am from Michigan, and currently studying at BYU-Idaho. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I. I am. I am a writer. A painter. An artist. I. I am a student. I am a learner of things. All things. I love to sing. I don't sing very good, but I love it. I am a believer. A believer in music. In knowledge. I am a believer in this gospel. I am a nanny. I love kids. They bring joy into this world. I am a missionary. Through my thoughts, words, and actions, I share the joy that this gospel brings to me to whomever I meet. I am a sister. The oldest of four. I am an example. I try to do my best to show my siblings the right path. I am a friend. I am a writer. I communicate my true and honest thoughts through writing. I am partially deaf. I am shy. I don't talk much because I can't hear people half the time. I guess this is why I write, because I can express myself. I am nerd. I am a TV junkie. I am a baker. I am a lover. A friend. A person. I. I am. I am Ally. I. Am. A. Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church. My parents have been great examples my entire life to live the gospel. I never knew why I was a Mormon until I came to college. At BYU-Idaho, there is just this...this thing. And this thing, it is something that I have never experienced before. It is as though a fire that has been lit in my soul. It gives warmth in this cold and windy city. It brings me joy. Happiness. It makes me love everyone I meet. This thing. It is the spirit. Being on campus has changed my life. I love it. I didn't want to come up here. Coming to a farm town from a larger city was not in my plan. But I know that I am here for a reason. That reason is to build my testimony up. I love this gospel and I want to share it with everyone. Everyone deserves to feel the joy that the gospel of the Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints brings. It is the most fulfilling feeling to know that this church is true. My testimony has grown so much since coming up to a school where in my science class we are learning how the gospel intertwines with chemistry. I love it. I love this gospel so much. I know that it is true, and it brings me so much peace and joy and comfort. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through example. I avoid cursing, gossiping, dressing inappropriately, and drinking and smoking. I am peculiar. We are a peculiar people. But peculiar doesn't mean bad. It just means different. Mormons are so different. I live my faith through my word, conversation, thoughts, and actions. I volunteer whenever I can. I love service. When I see someone in need, I immediately try and help in anyway I can. Service seems to help me more than it helps the person who needs service. I love how this gospel teaches us to serve and to help others. I am an example. And through my example, I live my faith.
