Hi I'm Jonathan

I was born in Colombia. I am college student. I am studying biology. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have come to learn that the two most important things in life for me have been my relationship with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and my relationship with my family. I am so thankful to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and to have been so fortunate to have parents who searched for the truth and found it in their youth before I was even born. I love having a large family with whom I can spend so much time with. I love my baby nephews and nieces and the sweet spirit they bring to our family. I look forward for that day that I have a family of my own. I am currently a student and I am working towards a degree in Biology. Although I am not Chopin or Beethoven, I love music and I am a student of the Piano and the guitar. I hope to master the two one day. In my spare time I like to watch movies, read books, and enjoy the outdoors. I have been interested in health for a few years, and when I am not in School or practicing the piano I like to research and learn about the human body and how food and exercise affect our health.

Why I am a Mormon

I was diagnosed with a chronic illness a few years ago, and I know that if it wasn't for these truths death would have tasted so much better. I know that although we sometimes think Father in Heaven is not listening, He is and He answers prayers. He sent his son, Jesus Christ, so we could be saved from our carnal state and become like Him. I know that I have a savior, Jesus Christ, who died for my sins. I know that if I use the atonement in my life I will have the opportunity to be cleanse from sin and be worthy to one day stand in the presence of Father in Heaven. I know and I have experienced the love that my Father in Heaven has for me. I know that if we are obedient to His commandments life will be so much easier and we will be able to have His divine guidance with us at all times.

How I live my faith

Every day I try to spend some time studying about Jesus Christ’s gospel and how I can become more like Him. I am currently a Sunday school teacher in my congregation and teach students like me about the life and works of ancient prophets in the Americas who were guided by God and saw our days now. They wrote these principles and doctrines in The Book of Mormon so we can follow them to avoid temptation and sin. I know that this book, The Book of Mormon, is true and is from God to us. I also serve as one of the few pianists in my student congregation. Also, I was currently called as a Mission Leader in my congregation at church. I help young men that have dedicated two years of their life to serve a mission for Jesus Christ's church, to find people in our area who are interested in the Gospel.
