Hi I'm Lindsey Kirk

I'm a high school senior enjoying life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a senior in high school and will be attending college this August...still undecided- BYU or The University of Utah. I have two sisters, me being the middle. I really enjoy having both an older sister and getting to be an older sister:) I swam year round from about 5th grade until 10th. I no longer swim, but am now learning to play the piano. I participate in many clubs at school and am the class president of my Young Womens church group, the Laurels (girls the ages of 16-18) which I have absolutely loved! I am just enjoying life right now:)

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe. I believe in the gospel and I believe in the doctorine I am taught. I know I have a Heavenly Father and a Savior, Jesus Christ, who died for not only my sins, but everyone elses as well. I am a Mormon because it brings happiness into my life. I am almost 18 years old, and have gotten to have many experiences, make many mistakes, learn from those mistakes, and see the importance of the gospel in my life. Along the way, my testimony has grown and I know that I am truly the happiest when I live the standards of the church. I am a Mormon because it makes me different, and in today's world, different is an awesome thing!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by living the standards and being an example. I live my faith by standing up to what I believe and not being a follower. I attend early morning Seminary, mutual every Thursday, and church every Sunday. I read my scriptures and pray daily to keep myself spiritually uplifted. I live my faith by believing in it.

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

Lindsey Kirk
Mormons believe that the purpose of life is to learn and grow. We are here for a very short time compared to eternal life that we can earn through the way we live our life here. We have been given physical bodies because we chose to follow the Savior's plan which allows us to come to earth and exercise our free agency. We learn to become like our Heavenly Father by doing our best to follow His example. Because nobody is perfect, when we make mistakes we can repent because of the Atonement and the Savior dying for each and every one of us. We must CONTINUOSLY work on perfecting ourselves in order to be "saved." Most importantly, we are here to form families that can be eternal. Show more Show less
