Hi I'm Terry

I live in a small town in Georgia at 53 years old I decided to return to College. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a single mother of two beautiful children. My son Taim is serving a mission in the New York New York South Mission, which began October 2010. My daughter is a teenager now attending the Public School system after years of homeschooling. What is so special about me—I am an African American and only member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in my family. I love gardening, reading a good book and going to the movies (G-ratings) of course. I enjoy singing, dancing meeting people and eating out with my family. As a matter of facts the three most important things I love in all the Earth of than myself of course is My Heavenly Father, My Family and My Friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I began studying the bible (King James Version) when I was 13. I have always loved the stories and when I left home to work, I tried to find a church home. I studied with many religions. One Christmas in my new apartment, I was watching Mr. Kruger's Christmas. At the end of the program, there was an invitation to know more about the church of Jesus Christ by calling the number on the screen. The only thing I knew of this Church was an article in Reader's Digest about its Family History work. I was curious and called the number. I was visited by two sister missionaries and after two years of study, fasting and prayer. I felt this is where I was supposed to be, and I was baptized into the church in 1983.

How I live my faith

At present I am a Ward Missionary but I love teaching and have worked in the primary program as well as the Adult Sunday School as a teacher. My own son is serving a mission at present and I have a daughter at home who serves in the Young Women program. I love to visit the sisters and serve in any capacity.
