Hi I'm Andy

I wonder if I'm the only Hungarian bred, Australian born, Canadian raised, American married Mormon in the world?

About Me

Hello. I write and perform music in my home studio. Go listen to it and download my music for free at http://mopaditi.bandcamp.com. I compose and play all instruments, and record it myself. I can't really describe my music, but it's part hypnotic, part minimal, part ethereal, part ambient. When you listen to it, maybe you can describe it to me. Strange fact about me: I have to record my creations because I have no musical memory. I've written thousands of songs and can't play any of them (I play keyboards) because I can't remember them! I still write music, though, and always will because it's my passion. When I'm not working at a health food store or writing music, I'm with my best friend, my wife Lorilee. We have been married 32 years and plan to be together forever. Lorilee and I enjoy trail-running and training for obstacle course races like the Spartan race together - we've completed 5 of them together. If Lorilee isn't available, I go for a run up a local mountain. I love to hike and lose myself in deep forests - ok, a local park will do... Other interests are Forex trading, Crossfit, nutrition, health and fitness, self-defense arts, Terry Pratchett novels.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a simple man who treasures his family and faith. Spiritual experiences over the years have intensified and solidified my faith in God, Christ, and God's kingdom on earth, the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-day Saints. The Gospel of Jesus Christ gives me peace, hope, joy, purpose. It's the foundation of everything I think, plan, and do.

How I live my faith

I play the piano for the little children in Church on Sundays. I love doing that little bit of service. That's my assigned job in Church one day per week. However, I believe in trying to live this Gospel 24/7/365. I'm always striving to be more kind and good - more like the wonderful examples around me, like my amazing wife Lorilee, and more like my ultimate example, my Master and Savior, Jesus Christ. Of course, being mortal, I fall short of God's ideal, but the Gospel of Jesus Christ moves me to overcome, to excel in every area of my life, and to exercise my faith regularly through repentance and reach for the next level of joy and accomplishment in life. I live with hope and peace in my heart, knowing the mercy and forgiveness of God through his Son Jesus Christ.
