Hi I'm Jenny

I am a first grade teacher. I love singing and do-it-yourself projects. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I recently graduated from college and just started my first year of teaching as a first grade teacher. I love spending time with my family and friends, going on road trips, decorating and basically doing anything crafty.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe in Christ and that He loves me so much that He suffered for my sins and imperfections, all the heartache I face. I believe in a loving Heavenly Father who sent me here to learn and progress so that someday I can return to Him and be like Him. I believe that families are eternal, and through Christ's Atonement, we can be with them forever. I believe that Joseph Smith, as a 14 year old boy, did see Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ when he earnestly and prayerfully sought out truth. Through him, Jesus Christ's church was restored on the earth, and through that blessing we have Priesthood power and temple ordinances. I am a member of this church because I feel love and peace when I follow its teachings and my greatest happiness comes from living faithfully as a Mormon. I know it to be true through my own study of the scriptures and prayer. This faith wasn't just handed to me- I had to work for it. I have to work for it every day, yet I know it is true with everything in me.

How I live my faith

I believe that this church is not just a religion, but a lifestyle. My faith factors into almost every decision I make. Because I believe in Christ, I want to be like Him. I know I have a long way to go, but I try to live in a way so that others can see His love for them by the way I treat them. I have served in various Church callings by being a leader for the youth and single women, leading choir, serving a mission, and organizing activities.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Missionaries go throughout the world to share their love of the Savior, Jesus Christ. They leave behind their families, friends, education, jobs, and all other hobbies and relationships because they want the world to know that there is a God, and that He loves them. They want the world to know that His Son, Jesus Christ, was born and lived a perfect life, and then suffered for every sin and affliction in the world so we can be forgiven of our sins and someday return to Heaven. Missionaries leave their families to let the world know that families can be together forever through Heavenly Father's beautiful plan. The life of a missionary is not easy, but it is worth it. Missionaries experience one of the greatest joys in life: serving Heavenly Father's children the way He would if He walked among us. Show more Show less
