Hi I'm Jared

I was born in Arizona and had a relatively normal childhood, I always appreciated learning and haveing good friends.I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Well I am a full-time student right now and I plan on becomming an optometrist, which in other words is an eye-doctor. Although growing up I never thought that I would have such great ambitions but the church has helped me to realize that I can accomplish anything if I work for it. So here I am doing what I can to have a better life, well at least better than it was yesterday. Growing up through highschool I always tried to be the best at what I do, I was an excellent football player, track star, as well as an outstanding vocalist. I am currently spending most of my time singing actually, it has always been something that I love doing. But somehow with my love for singing I have found time to still get good grades in all of my other classes. Anyways I love to learn, go to school, and to study the scriptures as well.

Why I am a Mormon

Well I was born in the LDS church but I've always been happy with it, I never once doubted the happiness that my familly has shared came from our common beliefs in the church. But now that I am older and I've served a Full-Time mission I realize what it really means to be a mormon and to stand as a witness of Christ in these latter days. Anyways if you where to ask me why I am a mormon right now I would say that it is because I know the Book Of Mormon is true. I read it, understood it, thought about its teachings, and I even found myself desiring these teachings to be true. And when I prayed and asked to find out whether or not The Book Of Mormon was true, I felt deep inside my heart an unforgetable feeling that could only grow the more that my thoughts dwelt on these things and I knew they where true. And those feelings where only a confrimation of the things which I already knew in my heart to be true. And I testify that the feelings I had that day was given to me by the power of the Holy Ghost just as the prophets of old had testified. Anyways the only way to find out for yourself is to try it out for yourself. I say that in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

Well I live my faith by attending church on sundays and striving to keep the commandments which I have been taught. I also have learned to live by the teachings of the Gospel Of Jesus Christ, which is essentially five things: Faith in Jesus Christ, Repentance, Baptism, Receiving the Gift of The Holy Ghost, and Enduring to the end. Now as I strive to do what's right I find it easier and easier to live Christs gospel. But when I make mistakes and keep making them on purpose I loose sight of his teachings and distance myself from his presence. So I live my faith by being faithful to Jesus Christ, upholding to my end of my baptisimal covenants, listening to the proptings of the Holy Ghost in my life, and remembering to always repent. Which simply is a law of perfection. However imperfect we are, we can only become Christlike through repentance.
