Hi I'm Abby Hall

I was born in Layton, Ut. I am in High School. And I'm a mormon! :)

About Me

I'm Abby Hall, I am 16-years old, and I am an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I have one biological sister, three step-sisters, two step-brothers, two sets of parents, four sets of grandparents, and an endless amount of cousins! And I love animals! I have had some struggles in my life, but through the power of our Heavenly Father and Savior I have made it trough those struggles. I was diagnosed with OCD and anxiety when I was about 7-years old. I went trough some hard times with it, but it has made me stronger. My parents are divorced and remarried. But good things have can come out of it. For example, double the family and double the love. Around Christmas of 2009, when I was 13-years old, I was diagnosed with Scheuermann's Kypohsis Disease. Which means the top of my spine was curved outward, the lower part of my spine was curved inward, and my spine was curved sideways. I had to wear a back brace for about a year. The first brace went from my hips to a little below my collar bone. It wasn't helping my back though so I had to get a new brace called a B.O.B aka a Boston Overlap Brace. It went from bellow my hips to just above where my ribs end. But it still wasn't working, so in march of 2011 I had Spinal Fusion Surgery. It was a long and boring recovery and I still have until this coming march before I am fully recovered. I now have perfect posture, thanks to two titainium rods and twenty-six screws striagtening my spine. :D

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and have been a member of the church my whole life. I am a mormon because I know there is a Heavenly Father who loves us and wants us to be happy. And I know that the Savior Jesus Christ died for us so that we may live with our Heavenly Father again. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet and that Thomas S. Monson is the living prophet of today. I try to be like Jesus so that I may return to my Father in Heaven. I love the young womens program. And I love that my ward feels just like part of my family. Being a member of the church means everything to me.

How I live my faith

I am in the 16 to 18-year old class in the young womens program (Luarels) and I serve as the secretary in that class. I do community service with the other youth in my ward. I work on reading my scriptures everyday. I try not to only read the scriptures but to really study them. I try to take in as much as can in the lessons in church and seminary. And I live the standards of the gospel.
