Hi I'm Brenda

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Duvall Washington. I am now a step mother to two sons and work as a nanny.

About Me

I am a wife to a wonderful Dentist. I am recently remarried. My previous husband lost his battle with Hodgkins lymphoma Cancer. He went through chemo treatments, was in remission for 11 months till it came back. We changed our diets hoping to help cure his cancer eatting organically, a lot of brown rice and dark greens. We tried to follow the Macrobiotics diet closely. One of my favorite hobbies is to go on long walks with my husband or ballroom dance, I also enjoy taking pictures and making slideshows for anniversaries and birthdays.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and have been so grateful. I have never doubted my religion. I have always felt and known the gospel is true. It has been testified to me over and over again as I have felt the spirit witness to me of its truth. I always invite others to read the Book of Mormon and pray to find out for themselves if it is true. I really can't imagine living without the gospel. I feel so blessed to have always had it in my life. It has truly helped me through the tough times, Its our faith that keeps us going.

How I live my faith

I served a mission in Barcelona Spain. It was so awesome to meet so many people and share what I believe with them. Now I just adore working in the nursery currently in church on Sunday. I have such an amazing opportunity to teach children that are 18mo.-3yrs. old. I also love to serve others whenever I have the chance. I enjoy making desserts and dropping them off with someone that might not be expecting a visit.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Mormons are not required to serve a mission. We feel it a privilege to serve by sharing the gospel with others. I served a mission because I wanted to, no one asked me to go. It was totally voluntary and definitely worth the blessing that come from serving. I sent in papers saying I wanted to go and received a letter back stating when I could leave and where I would be going. I served for 18months sharing the gospel in Spain. Show more Show less
