Hi I'm Brynn

I am a college student, middle child, lover of fruit, running, chocolate and country music... and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Southern California then moved to Utah when I was 14. I am the middle of 5 kids and love it. I am going to college to hopefully become a dental hygienist, so yes I like teeth. I have always loved being outdoors and especially playing basketball and running. Random facts: I like to doodle when I'm bored, I am learning to play the guitar, and I can ride a unicycle. I love life and feel so lucky to have the friends and family that I have.

Why I am a Mormon

I struggled for many years once I moved to Utah, even though I was Mormon just like the majority of my high school. I felt very out of place and different as I struggled to find friends that I clicked with. Going to church, mutual, and seminary regularly helped me to have some peace and hope in my life, but I knew I could do more, I knew I could live the gospel more fully. I knew I wasn't happy like I could be. My life was full of so many worries and especially full of self-doubt. My life changed so much for the better once I went off to college. I looked at moving away from home as a time to be whatever I wanted to be, to start once again doing the things that I loved, to become so much more than I was content being in high school. I wanted to be happier, and I wanted to not worry so much about what would happen in my life. I found my answer to happiness and peace through faith. I started studying the Book of Mormon every day, I prayed to my Heavenly Father every morning and night and shared with him my concerns and my dreams. I found comfort and strength in my journey to improve my life as I went to the temple each week. Over time I not only felt happier, but my testimony grew, and I learned about who I really am. I learned that I am a daughter of God, with limitless potential. I no longer worried about what would happen in my life, because I knew that if I was following God's commandments He would lead and guide me to exactly the things that I needed. I know that challenges are given to us to help us grow and learn and become all that we can be. I know that we have a loving Heavenly Father who wants us to be happy, and I know that His plan for me is so much better than my own. I am thankful for the atoning sacrifice of our Savior Jesus Christ, and for the perfect example that he set for us. I know that Thomas S. Monson is a true prophet and servant of our Heavenly Father. I am so blessed to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

How I live my faith

Growing up, I have had several opportunities to serve those in my community. I would work with our class teachers to plan events for the youth in our ward, as well as discuss with them ways to reach out and help anyone who could use a boost. More recently I have served as a ward missionary and visiting teacher. I have loved these opportunities that have shown me how much I really love to talk about the church and how happy it makes me!
