Hi I'm Doug Crossen

I ride motorcyles and love the outdoors. I like to camp, hunt and shoot, and go 4-wheeling. I I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have 3 children and 5 grandchildren. I am a Master Heavy and Light Duty Mechanic, welder, and woodworker, and Facility Manager. I love to take long motorcycle rides and visit historic areas where I live. I travel a lot with my job and enjoy seeing other parts of the country. Occasionally I build vehicles on the side, frame up overhauls or restorations, as a hobby. I hunt, camp, fish and target shoot. I am also a champion Dutch-Oven Cook.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it's teachings answer all lifes questions. The Gospel is complete without gaps. I went through a time in my life when I wasn't sure, for several years I looked into other religions. I eventually found that the truth I was looking for was what I had left, and came back to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The Book of Mormon is a Second Witness, a companion to the Bible that clearifies Gospel Princibles. Read it as I have and sincerely pray asking the Lord for an answer of it's authenticity and you shall recieved it as promised in Moroni Chapter 10 versus 4-5. The Lord has perserved my life on many occasions; very dramatically. I have picked myself up from the pavement of highways four times now in my life, each time knowing I should not have walked away, much less survived; (1) head on colision involving one high speed vehicle, (2) crushed between a dumptruck and a backhoe, (3) crushed between a car and a truck while on a motorcycle, (3) hitting a deer at 65 mph on a motorcycle and flying 150 feet landing on the pavement. During the first accident I witnessed the Lords hands involved in my lifes preservation. These experiences have only strengthened my faith in Christ and what he has done for me. I am always amazed at how the Lord has and continues to bless me and my family and can never repay him; except through doing the best I can and teaching my family true Gospel Princibles.

How I live my faith

I am a Volunteer with the Boy Scouts and look forward to Church every sunday. I love to watch my grandchildren grow and ask them what they learned in Church. I serve as the First Councilor to the Bishop and as the Scout Committee Chairperson for our Troop. I try to be an example to others whether they are of the LDS faith or not. I enjoy helping those in need.
