Hi I'm Nathan

I suffer from bipolar and schizophrenia and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 28 years old. I have had trouble with mental illness since I was 11 years old. I hear voices frequently each day. Four times in my life I was truly insane and it lasted for weeks each time. I was unable to serve a mission and have been divorced after only a year of marriage as a result of it. I am a student at BYU-Idaho. I will graduate in April 2012 if all goes well. I am uncertain what I want to do for a career. I am thinking about working for a local grocery store, then going back to school for an MBA, transfering to a grocery store there, and then managing a grocery store.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon not only because I was born mormon but because I have been inspired by the spirit of God on many different facets of the church doctrine and administration. I have felt inspiration that the Book of Mormon is true several times. I have a testimony of the atonment. I know that the prophet is truely called of God. I know that the local leaders are as well. I know that the temple ordinances are truly a part of God's plan to have us return to Him.

How I live my faith

I am the ward's eleven year old scout master. I have four boys that I have to plan lessons and interactive activities for each week. I pray several times daily and more when I have more severe trials. I read the scriptures daily and have started putting more time into that each day. I also attempt to visit four members once a month who I am assigned to home teach. I am supposed to make sure that their needs are being met. I also do geneology work and do temple work for deceased ancestors.
