Hi I'm Maggie

Missionary, student, Mormon.

About Me

I just finished my freshman year at BYU-Idaho majoring in International Studies, and am now serving a mission in Boise, Idaho! My best friends are my family! They are more important to me than anything. This is why I'm serving a mission! I want others to feel the joy the gospel brings to individuals and families. I love the news, art, good books (i.e. To Kill a Mockingbird), and nice socks.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in the church, but that doesn't mean I haven't ever wondered if it was really true. I've read the Book of Mormon more than once. I have prayed a lot. (so much praying.) I have talked to friends of other faiths about what their beliefs are. I know that this is the true church of God. If the Book of Mormon wasn't true God wouldn't be real. If I were to deny that sacred book I would be denying God, because I know what I've felt and I cannot deny it. I love my family, and I love my Father in heaven. I know I will be with my family again after we part on this earth. I am grateful that I can be sealed to my family for eternity. With some things you just can't know everything. You have to rely on faith. (Matt 11:28-30) Through faith, prayer, fasting, and practicing ''the experiment'' (Alma 32) I have gained a testimony of my Savior Jesus Christ and of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

How I live my faith

Right now I am living my faith by serving a full-time mission! I hope to always be able to serve my Lord and Savior whether I'm on my mission or not. I love learning. I live my faith by learning about Christ through the scriptures. I love to serve. If the scriptures tell us anything, it's that we need to serve each other. Serve, serve, serve. Going to the Temple is the best. The best place to learn how to serve is in the temple.
