Hi I'm Chad Hymas

I grew up in West Jordan, Utah. I am a quadriplegic. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

At the age of 27, my’ life changed instantaneously when an accident left me a quadriplegic. Since that time I have been traveling the world sharing a very personal message (more at www.ChadHymas.com). I am the president of my own communications company and an internet marketing company. As a member of the National Speakers Association I spoke at over 220 events last year. I travel as many as 300,000 miles a year. Last year I spoke in 5 new countries on 4 continents, to hundreds of professional and civic organizations. I love what I do! I am married and my wife and I are the proud parents of four children. Two of our children are adopted! We currently reside in Rush Valley, Utah on a 200-acre wildlife preserve. I enjoy basketball, wheelchair rugby, hang-gliding, and snow skiing. In July 2003 I set a World Record by wheeling a personal marathon of over 500 miles from Salt Lake City to Las Vegas. I am excited about my new book being released in a few short months. Doing What Must Be DONE...

Why I am a Mormon

I live my faith by trying to be an example daily. I try and be a good son by reading is word, communicating to Him my gratitude and needs/desires, and by trying to be meek and humble. I have been blessed even in my circumstance of no arms or legs to travel the world and share a very personal message. Much of that is my testimony, but I get to share it in a vague perspective. My hope is that the Holy Spirit can testify of my faith as I do my missionary work. I get asked all of the time about my faith. And I love to respond appropriately as each encounter is different.

How I live my faith

I grew up in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, but my mother is Catholic. So I have grown up to be a respecter of ALL faiths and beliefs. Most all LDS people believe and live this already, but for me I grew up LOVING my Catholic family, Jewish friends, and loving people of many faiths. There did come a time in my life where I, too, needed to know the truth for myself. I am grateful for my testimony of our Lord’s Gospel in these latter Days. At the age of 19 I served a LDS mission to Bangkok, Thailand and shortly after my return I was married to my high school sweetheart in the Salt Lake Temple. At an early age I prayed and studied the scriptures. I know that Joseph Smith is a true prophet that restored our church in these, The Latter Days. I am thankful that I have the opportunity to be sealed with my family for all time and eternity. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, but recognize our Father has children of many diverse beliefs and it is by our example and kindness that he will guide His flock back into one fold with one Sheppard. I love attending churches every Sunday all over the world.
