Hi I'm Kimberly

I'm a college student studying microbiology. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a student at Brigham Young University, studying biology/pre-dentistry. I returned recently as a full-time missionary in the Portugal, Lisbon mission! I grew up in Utah, with my wonderful parents and 3 younger siblings. I hope to someday become an orthodontist, and a wife and mom! I love singing and dancing and just enjoying this beautiful world. I just love life and everything it has to offer!

Why I am a Mormon

To me, the Church just makes sense! It puts everything in context and makes me feel at home and like everything is right. I have received too much comfort, too many answers to prayers, and too many witnesses of the Spirit to not believe. I love the gospel. It is so wonderful to me that Christ, our Savior, would take upon Himself our sins so that we can return to live with Him and our Father in Heaven someday. And not only our sins, but our sorrows, sicknesses, weaknesses, shortcomings, and anything negative--He can take that burden from us, if we let Him. His mercy is what saves us. My faith in Christ and in His restored gospel through Joseph Smith is the impetus for everything I do. It's what gets me through the tough times, and allows me to enjoy the great times. I love the gospel with all my heart.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith in every single action of every single day. I love to talk to people about my beliefs, answer any questions, and have doctrinal discussions about God and His love for us. My favorite thing was getting to serve a mission--18 months of sharing the gospel. I hope that both as a missionary and through my example I can inspire others to come closer to Christ. I think the biggest thing for me is just trying to to remember Christ every single day and live how He wants me to.

What is the Law of Chastity?

Kimberly
The law of chastity is basically reserving sexual relations to marriage. To me, chastity also means keeping my hands to myself, as well as not passionately kissing until marriage. I believe in following the law of chastity because first of all, it is what God has asked of us. In addition, it shows respect both for myself and for others as children of Heavenly Father. Intimacy should be an expression of love in marriage, helping a husband and wife become one and come closer to God. God has given us this incredible power--the power to create mortal life--and to me, to abuse that power is to mock God. Keeping the law of chastity shows self-respect, respect for God, and brings safety, peace, and happiness. Show more Show less
